Mixed Media Art

Diane was born and raised in Pennsylvania and showed an early interest in drawing and making art.  She married and moved to Connecticut with her husband to raise their two sons.  She worked as a graphic designer until graduation from nursing school in 1991, obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Hartford in 1999.  She retired from oncology nursing in 2016. Throughout the past two decades, Diane has participated in Independent Study Workshops and courses with Debi Pendell in West Hartford, CT, North Adams, MA and Nice, France.  Diane is a member of Syntax: Mixed Media Artists, a group of five women who create art independently and meet regularly to critique each other’s work and to share ideas and techniques.  Diane is also a member of Connecticut Women Artists, Arts Center East and New Haven Paint and Clay Club. 

Diane's work resides in private collections in CT, PA, VT, MA and CA as well as on public display at the Copper Beech Institute, West Hartford, CT.
